even As I slowly roll a spleef inside this lotus leaf
I wanna go to sleep somewhere in the ocean deep
on a coral reef where the cameras fail to notice me
although it’s brief, the journey lasts a lifetime
the darkest depths are what really let the light shine
the lowest lows they wont show you
all the heights climbed
I guess ya gotta stay focused on the skyline

I dodge a death wish like it’s my morning stretches
and do it all before I eat breakfast

I’m feeling no regrets even when I’m soaking wet
floating in the ocean yet I’m choking with a broken neck
my life’s an open debt that death herself she won’t collect
And if she does upon Elysian Fields our souls connect
they deal a deck of primordial slop
so bet the farm on what afford I cannot
but before I could stop
they brought the sword to my Gordian knot
or whatever gonna forward the plot
more often than not

I solved the riddle of the universe once
and I got it done before I served lunch

the whole world in your mind
your adventurous kind
always behind but
time finds fractures to hide
illustrious soul battles in kingdoms for signs

if the past is corrected in peaceful defeat
earths exit an afterlife retreat you seek
speak in a riddle to keep quiet the chaos mystique

I’m feeling no remorse walking thru these open doors
even as I grab my cloak and torch they try to slow my course
I rode a horse through the desert with a blank space
emblazoned on his name plate
while Satan’s agents gave chase
I’m saving grace like some pennies in a wishing well,
I play with fates but ain’t never gonna kiss and tell
escaped the wizards spell, a prison cell and living hell
and did it well before a single dinging of the dinner bell

well, well well well ...

well I’ll be counting every star, then I’ll get right back
for a night cap and midnight snack
